Modern Bathroom Renovation in Manchester

We completed a full bathroom renovation in Manchester, transforming this dated bathroom into a bright, modern and practical space. Large marble-effect tiles, matt-black fittings and a spacious shower enclosure give the finished bathroom a stylish contemporary look.

Before the Renovation

The original bathroom featured a freestanding bath, small corner shower enclosure, beige wall and floor tiles and a traditional radiator. Although the room had good space, the layout and finishes needed modernising to make better use of it.

Planning & Design

Our plan was to create a more open and practical bathroom with a larger shower area, modern finishes and a cleaner layout. A white, grey and black colour scheme was chosen to give the bathroom a bright but contemporary appearance.

What we did for this project

Marble-Effect Wall Tiling

Installed large-format white marble-effect tiles across the bathroom walls, including neatly finished tiling around the window, creating a brighter and more luxurious finish.

New Floor Tiling

Replaced the old diagonal beige flooring with modern large-format grey floor tiles, complementing the marble-effect walls.

Large Shower Installation

Removed the old compact corner shower and installed a much larger black-framed shower enclosure with a low-profile tray, rainfall shower and handheld shower attachment.

Black Bathroom Fittings

Matt-black shower fittings and accessories were used throughout to create a strong contrast against the white marble-effect tiles.

Heated Towel Radiator

The traditional white radiator was replaced with a modern black heated towel rail, providing practical heating while matching the new bathroom design.

Recessed ceiling spotlights were installed to give the bathroom brighter, more even lighting and complete the modern finish.

The Finished Result

The completed bathroom feels much brighter, cleaner and more spacious. The combination of marble-effect tiling, grey flooring, black shower fittings, and a large shower enclosure has completely modernised the room while keeping it practical for everyday use.
