Modern Bathroom Renovation in Manchester

We completed this bathroom renovation in Manchester, transforming a dated bathroom into a warm, modern and practical space. Neutral large-format tiling, wood-effect features and contemporary dark fittings give the finished bathroom a clean and stylish look.

Before the Renovation

The original bathroom featured small beige wall tiles, older floor tiles, a pedestal basin, traditional radiator and an outdated bath and electric shower setup. The room needed a complete refresh to improve both its appearance and everyday usability.

Planning & Design

The new bathroom was planned around the existing bath position while creating a much more modern layout and finish. We combined warm neutral tiles, natural wood textures and dark bathroom fittings to give the room character while keeping it bright and practical.

What we did for this project

Large-Format Wall & Floor Tiling

Installed modern large-format neutral tiles across the bathroom walls and floor, creating a cleaner finish with fewer visible grout lines.

Wood-Effect Feature Wall

Added a striking vertical wood-effect feature wall behind the bath, introducing warmth and texture while creating a strong focal point in the room.

Bath & Shower Upgrade

Upgraded the bath area with a clear glass shower screen and modern rainfall shower system, giving the existing bath a more contemporary and practical shower setup.

Floating Vanity & Countertop Basin

Replaced the old pedestal basin with a wall-mounted wood-effect vanity unit, open shelving and a modern countertop basin, providing much-needed bathroom storage.

Mirror & Bathroom Fittings

Installed a large modern mirror together with coordinated dark metal taps and fittings to complement the warm wood and neutral tile finishes.

Heated Towel Radiator

Replaced the traditional radiator with a tall heated towel rail, providing practical heating while matching the contemporary bathroom design.

Lighting & Finishing

Updated the lighting and carefully finished the window, tiled surfaces and bathroom details to give the room a clean and complete appearance.

The Finished Result

The completed bathroom feels warmer, more spacious and much more modern. The combination of neutral tiling, wood-effect features, a floating vanity and contemporary fittings creates a stylish bathroom that remains practical for everyday family use.
