Boutique Pink Metro & Chrome Bathroom Renovation in Manchester

The original bathroom had a compact footprint with awkward ceiling angles, outdated fixtures, half-height tiling, and exposed plasterwork across the upper walls. The room needed a clean, modern update that maximized available space while delivering a fresh, premium finish.

Planning & Preparation

For this project, the goal was to create a bright, contemporary space using modern tiling, clean lines, and high-quality chrome fixtures. We selected vertically stacked, light pink metro tiles for the splash zones and shower enclosure to visually elevate the height of the walls. These were paired with light grey floor tiles and polished chrome accents to achieve a refined, airy atmosphere.

What we did for this project

Bathtub & Dual Shower Installation

A crisp white bath was installed, complete with a minimalist glass shower screen. We fitted a polished chrome thermostatic shower system featuring a large overhead rainfall showerhead and an adjustable handheld wand.

Modern Vanity Unit

The old sink setup was replaced with a dark grey floor-standing vanity unit with twin drawer storage and an integrated basin, paired with a sleek single-lever chrome tap.

Back-to-Wall WC

A modern white close-coupled toilet with a soft-close seat was neatly fitted into the corner under the window sill area.

Vertical Feature Metro Tiling

Half-height and full-shower vertical metro tiling was installed using subtle blush-pink tiles with clean chrome edge trims.

Chrome Heated Towel Rail

A stylish, multi-bar chrome heated towel radiator was mounted to serve as both a practical heating element and a decorative feature wall piece.

The Finished Result

The renovation successfully transforms a tight, sloped space into a sleek, light-filled bathroom. The combination of soft pink vertical metro tiles, polished chrome hardware, and a contrasting vanity unit gives the room a modern, boutique aesthetic.
