Earthy Stone & Moroccan Patterned Tile Bathroom Renovation in Manchester

A compact bathroom footprint often presents functional challenges, particularly when accommodating awkward structural angles, boxed-in pipework, and low-light corners. For this renovation, the space was stripped back completely to introduce a warm, modern aesthetic that blends textured neutral wall tiling with intricate floor detailing, turning an otherwise tight room into an open and practical ensuite-style bathroom.

Planning & Preparation

The objective was to create a comfortable, contemporary shower room while maximizing floor circulation.

Tile Selection: We paired large-format, warm travertine-style ceramic wall tiles with intricate Moroccan-inspired geometric floor tiles in coordinating beige, ochre, and charcoal tones.
Layout Optimization: To accommodate a raised floor section and adjacent bulkhead corner, custom steps and trims were planned to ensure a seamless flow between the shower enclosure and drying area.
Recessed Storage: An integrated shower niche was framed and lined with the matching geometric tile pattern, trimmed in brushed chrome for a cohesive designer finish.

What we did for this project

Sliding Glass Walk-In Shower Enclosure

We installed a low-profile white rectangular shower tray paired with a polished chrome sliding glass door enclosure. The setup features an exposed thermostatic dual-head chrome shower unit with an overhead rainfall drench head and an adjustable handheld wand.

Feature Recessed Shower Niche

A wide horizontal storage niche was built directly into the shower wall. Lined with patterned geometric mosaic tiles and edged with clean chrome profile trims, it keeps toiletries organized without encroaching on elbow space.

Gloss White Vanity Unit & Basin

To maintain clean lines and provide essential hidden storage, we fitted a compact, floor-standing 2-door vanity unit finished in high-gloss white. It features an integrated ceramic basin, a single-lever chrome monobloc mixer tap, and sleek bar handles.

Close-Coupled WC & Accessories

A contemporary close-coupled toilet with a soft-close seat and dual-flush mechanism was installed neatly beneath the window sill. Coordinated chrome wall-mounted accessories—including a matching toilet roll holder, tumbler holder, and soap dish—complete the look.

Chrome Heated Towel Radiator

A tall, multi-rung polished chrome heated ladder towel rail was mounted along the entry wall, maximizing vertical space while providing ample room for multiple warm towels.

The Finished Result

This project showcases how thoughtful tile pairing and smart layout planning can transform a tight, awkward floor plan into a luxurious daily retreat. The combination of natural-stone wall tiles, rich geometric flooring, and polished chrome fixtures delivers a bright, durable, and timeless finish tailored for everyday use.
