Luxury Cream Porcelain & Brushed Brass L-Shaped Bathroom Renovation in Manchester

The original bathroom was cold and stark, dominated by plain vertical white wall tiles with a dated mosaic border, an uninspiring straight bath setup, basic chrome fittings, and patterned vinyl flooring. The space lacked ambiance, built-in storage, and cohesive styling. The client wanted a high-end, boutique hotel-inspired transformation featuring warm neutral marble textures, integrated mood lighting, a dedicated shower bath, and elegant brushed brass accents.

Planning & Design

The goal was to craft a spacious, spa-like environment that maximized bathing and showering comfort while integrating layered lighting.

Space Optimization: Replacing the narrow straight bath with an ergonomic L-shaped shower bath provided a generous showering area without intruding on central floor circulation.
Warm Tonal Palette: We wrapped the walls and floor in seamless, large-format soft cream and beige marble-veined porcelain tiles, creating a fluid, open atmosphere.
Architectural Illumination: Two bespoke recessed niches were planned into the bath and shower walls, designed specifically with concealed warm-white LED halo lighting for a relaxing evening ambiance.
Brushed Brass Hardware: Polished chrome was completely phased out in favor of cohesive brushed brass fixtures, including brassware, shower profiles, wastes, and heating.

What we did for this project

L-Shaped Shower Bath & Brass Hinged Screen

We installed an L-shaped acrylic shower bath with matching bath end and front panels. It is fitted with a frameless clear glass screen complete with brushed brass wall profiles and hinges, an integrated overflow bath filler, and a brass pop-up waste.

Brushed Brass Thermostatic Dual Shower

A premium exposed thermostatic mixer shower finished in brushed brass was installed, pairing a large circular rainfall shower drench head with an adjustable handheld wand.

Dual Recessed Feature Niches with LED Halo Lighting

We built two custom storage niches into the tiled walls: a wide horizontal shelf running below the window sill and a vertical alcove above the bath ledge. Both are edged with brushed brass trims and illuminated with integrated waterproof LED strip lighting.

Midnight Navy Vanity Unit & Brass Monobloc Tap

To deliver a striking contrast against the warm porcelain tiling, we fitted a deep navy-blue vanity unit with two soft-close drawers, slender brushed brass handles, and matching brass legs. It is topped with an inset ceramic basin and an arched brushed brass monobloc basin mixer tap.

Back-to-Wall WC with Concealed Cistern Housing

A modern D-shaped toilet pan with a soft-close seat was paired with a matching navy-blue concealed cistern furniture unit, keeping unsightly pipework completely hidden while offering a neat top shelf for accessories.

Illuminated Fluted-Glass Mirror Cabinet

Above the basin, a double-door mirrored cabinet was installed featuring backlit ambient glow lighting, side fluted amber glass panels, and an under-cabinet task light bar.

The Finished Result

This renovation showcases how intentional lighting design and refined color choices can elevate a standard family layout into a five-star sanctuary. The synergy between warm marble-look porcelain, illuminated shelving, bold midnight navy cabinetry, and brushed brass details creates a soothing, timeless aesthetic built for everyday indulgence.
