Contemporary Bathroom Renovation in Manchester

We completed this bathroom renovation in Manchester, transforming a dated beige bathroom into a warm, modern and much more stylish space. Natural stone-effect tiling, matt-black fittings and wood-effect bathroom furniture give the finished room a clean, high-end look.

Before the Renovation

The original bathroom featured beige tiles with mosaic borders, a pedestal basin, white heated towel rail and a basic bath-and-shower setup. The overall layout worked, but the finishes had become dated and the room lacked modern storage and character.

Planning & Design

The new design focused on keeping the bathroom practical while giving it a warmer, more contemporary style. We combined neutral stone-effect tiles, matt-black details and natural wood finishes to create a coordinated look that works especially well with the room’s sloped ceiling and large window.

What we did for this project

Stone-Effect Wall & Floor Tiling

Installed large-format warm stone-effect tiles across the walls and floor, creating a cleaner and more seamless finish throughout the bathroom.

Bath & Black Shower System

Upgraded the bath area with a striking black-framed glass shower screen, matt-black rainfall shower and handheld shower attachment.

Illuminated Shower Niche

Created a built-in recessed wall niche with integrated lighting, providing practical storage for toiletries while adding a premium feature to the bath area.

Fluted Vanity & Storage

Installed a modern wood-effect fluted vanity unit with integrated basin, plus matching tall storage furniture to give the bathroom more useful storage and a warmer finish.

Black Heated Towel Rail

Replaced the previous white radiator with a large matt-black heated towel radiator, matching the shower fittings and accessories.

Window & Finishing Details

The window surround was fully tiled and finished with dark edging, while recessed ceiling lighting and coordinated black accessories completed the modern design.

The Finished Result

The finished bathroom feels warmer, smarter and much more refined. The combination of stone-effect tiling, black bathroom fittings, fluted wood furniture and feature lighting creates a stylish bathroom while keeping the space practical for everyday use.
