Terrazzo-Style Bathroom Renovation

We completed this bathroom renovation in Manchester, creating a fresh and characterful space with statement terrazzo-effect tiling, modern sanitaryware and practical bathroom fittings. The patterned finish gives the room a distinctive look while keeping the overall design clean and functional.

Project Brief

The aim was to create a modern family bathroom with a stronger visual identity while making good use of the available space. The terrazzo-style tiles were used as the main feature, complemented by white sanitaryware and darker furniture and heating.

Planning & Design

The layout was planned around a practical bath-and-shower combination, compact vanity storage and WC. The same terrazzo finish continues across the floor and key wall areas to create a coordinated design.

What we did for this project

Terrazzo Wall & Floor Tiling

Installed distinctive terrazzo-effect tiles across the bathroom floor, bath surround and shower walls, including neatly tiled window reveals and sill.

New Bath & Shower

Fitted a new white bath with a clear glass shower screen and modern chrome shower fittings, providing both bathing and showering in one practical area.

Vanity Unit & Basin

Installed a dark freestanding vanity unit with integrated white basin and chrome mixer tap, adding useful storage and contrast against the patterned tiles.

New WC

Fitted a modern close-coupled WC and coordinated it with the new bathroom layout and tiling.

Black Heated Towel Rail

Installed a matt-black heated towel radiator, adding practical heating while introducing a strong contemporary contrast.

Finishing & Wall Preparation

The remaining wall areas were prepared for their final decorative finish, while tiled edges, corners and bath surrounds were completed to create a clean overall installation.

The Finished Design

The combination of terrazzo-effect tiling, white sanitaryware, dark vanity furniture and black heating gives this bathroom a bold but balanced contemporary style. It is practical, easy to maintain and full of character.
