Warm Stone-Effect Bathroom Renovation in Manchester

This bathroom was redesigned to make a narrow space feel brighter, calmer and easier to use. We used warm beige stone-effect tiles throughout, paired with white sanitaryware and chrome fittings to give the room a clean, coordinated finish without making it feel too cold or clinical.

Project Brief

The main challenge with this bathroom was the long, narrow layout. The available floor area needed to be used carefully so the toilet, basin and shower could all sit comfortably without making the room feel cramped. The renovation was therefore planned around keeping the central walkway clear while making full use of the walls and the end of the room.

Planning & Design

We planned the layout so the shower enclosure sits neatly at the far end, with the basin positioned along the side wall and the WC retained in a practical location beneath the window.

The finishes were also selected to help visually open up the room. Rather than using dark or heavily patterned surfaces, the project uses light neutral tones with subtle natural movement in the tiles.

What we did for this project

Warm Stone-Effect Tiling

Installed large-format beige stone-effect tiles across the walls and floor to create a continuous, coordinated finish throughout the bathroom.

Full Shower Enclosure

Created a dedicated shower area with a chrome-framed glass enclosure, sliding doors and a low-profile white shower tray.

Modern Shower Fittings

Fitted a chrome shower system with both overhead and handheld shower functions, keeping the fittings clean and practical.

Wood-Effect Vanity & Storage

Installed a modern wood-effect vanity unit with integrated basin and matching tall storage cabinet, providing plenty of useful bathroom storage.

Pedestal Basin

Installed a white pedestal basin with a modern chrome mixer tap, positioned to preserve as much usable floor space as possible.

Concealed WC & Feature Panel

Fitted a compact close-coupled toilet beneath the frosted window, making efficient use of the end of the room.

Chrome Heated Towel Rail

Added a tall chrome heated towel rail beside the WC, providing useful heating without taking up unnecessary wall space.

The Finished Result

The completed bathroom now feels much more balanced and spacious.

The combination of warm neutral tiling, bright white sanitaryware, glass shower panels and chrome details works particularly well in this long, narrow room. Every fitting has been positioned to make the most of the available space while keeping the bathroom comfortable to move around in.

Rather than relying on bold colours or decorative features, this renovation achieves its look through simple materials, careful layout and consistent finishing.
